Helping Children With Flower Essences
Kids really take to essences pretty well, they don't have the emotional blockages that we have built up and held onto over the years. They aren't as entrenched in behavior and habits. Dosage is the same as for adults although less frequently, maybe two times a day is fine. It makes for a nice bedtime ritual. Most kids like the idea of taking "flower drops." The ones I know are very interested and want to see pictures of the flower it's made from.
Teenagers, and even preteens, on the other hand, can view these as you wanting to control or correct their behavior. Especially if they are already sensitive about you judging them, my advice is not to make any specific suggestions. Share briefly how essences have helped you and give them some literature, or show them the individual essence section and let them make their own choices. Don't remind them to take it or involve yourself other than letting it be known that you're open to talking.
With babies, you can give 4 drops in a little water and dab some on their lips, temples, pulse points etc. or just add to bath water. It can go in their bottles too. If you are nursing, an easy way, is for you to take an essence and pass it through your milk to your baby.
Here are some essences that can be used for kids. Any essence can, but these have qualities that are commonly needed for children.
